The budget so far....

... I know it's early in the budget, but I deny anybody looks at the budget without the view "what's in it for me".
So far, if I had my own busuness, was a corporate business owner, or a new parent I'd be quids in - but for me personally, nothing so far. I'm sure I will be quids down regarding the nice things in life , booze, petrol etc Now, please don't think me greedy - I have worked all my life, which means I have always paid into the system - but when I was a kid, we didn't have government grants to get kids thro' college - we didn't have easy access to start a business etc. All I can say is I recently received a letter from DWP to say the initiative vrought in to increase women's pension ages in line with men's is going to be brought in 'gradually' over 10 years. My pension age has leapt from 60yrs (expected since I started work at 15) to 63.75yrs -almost 4 yrs - how gradual is that ?!!!!! Am I bitter? Damn right!!!!

But most houses, and even flats, in this area will start at about £500,000.
If my parents pre-decease me, I have no other family, whatever I have will go to some charities, and to various friends. They could pay their children's schools fees, pay off their mortgages, buy new cars ... or whatever.
Or they can send a huge chunk to the Government, who will re-distribute it to idle scroungers to pay for the 8 kids they've got, and the 1 more on the way, and who have no incentive to work or stop having kids so long as the Govt can keep giving them money taken from people like me ...
... aaaand relax !

Sorry, been away from comp for a while.
As I wrote earlier, there are things I am bitter about with regards to the budget etc. And, in theory at least, this is supposed to be a democracy. Sadly, I voted for the present govt, so it could be said it's my own fault.
Having said that, there is nothing about any of the three 'main' parties that will induce me to vote for any of them. Yet, I will vote. People died to enable my right do to do, and I refuse to disrespect that. Be sure it won't be one of the main three - although the lack of proportional repesentation reduces my vote to almost nothing. Still bitter? Yep!
