Returning from the pub and being somewhat inebriated and therefore feeling unrealistically hungry I purchased a takeaway meal from my local Chinese restaurant.
When I got this home and opened the bag I found that it was supplied in an all plastic ROUND container.
I am used to the standard rectangular foil container plus cardboard lid or the all-plastic rectangular containers.
When did round containers become available?
They became available when your local takeaway increased their storage space. (Round containers obviously take up more space than rectangular ones do because you can't store piles of them side by side without any spaces).
A subsidiary question, of course, has to be "Just how p!ssed do you have to be to worry about the shape of takeaway containers?"
My chinese has changed the shape of its container also.. .the plastic rectangle has got thinner and longer - dont like them. Have never been given a round container - that would be weird!
