the camera roll on my iphone 3g has gone dippy, the top half of the roll of photos are shown as usual but then half way down the roll, the photos are covered by a black strip that stretches the whole width of the screen bar 1 or 2 mm each side where white it is white like it would be at the edge of the roll, this strip covers up about 6 or 7 rows of photos. then a bit further down the roll, the pictures are shown again as normal, what's going on and how do i get it back to normal, i have tried resetting the phone and syncing it but no success :-(

Is the memory getting a bit low?

how would you define low? i have about 1.5 gb left from 8 gb i think. :-/
Why not email some of them to yourself and see whether this improves things?

i can still see the photos, just not the thumbnails, if i touch anywhere within the black area, it acts as normal and brings up the photo that would be there if it wasn't for the problem, so the photos are still on the phone just not showing their thumbnails. i can see them if i scroll through the photos one by one on full screen view if that makes any sense.
