photos on iphone

i can get my iphone pics from its "camera roll" file on my comp screen,but cant get the pics from its "photo library to download back to my comp,
any ideas if you can do this
the iphone shows of course in my computer as my phone but only contains its "camera roll" file

What operating system is your computer running?

Are you using itunes to control the sync of your iphone to your pc? If so have you checked the sync settings for photos to make sure it knows the location of your photo library?

i'm trying to get my i phone "photo library" pics "back" on to my comp.i tunes only seems to sync from comp tp i phone
i know there is a back up which i use on i tunes but that doesn't let me access my pics

I'm not a Windows user, but on a mac the same thing happens with photos. On a mac we use a programme called Image Capture, which looks at the iPhone as a normal storage device, this then downloads pictures back from the iPhone. Do you hva another option on your system, for downloading pictures?
