MM and KM Links July 2011 Week [2]

Well ladies and gentlemen, a bit of a slow start there last weekend. Some of you are obviously not tuned in to thinking 'CANADA' (Yes, C A N A D A ) which is where the setter for July, 'The Ice Queen' (aka Ont-Ice), comes from. Last weekend, she offered the linkword 'FRENCH' and not a single player opted for French Canadian! Shame on you.

The royal visit (last week's theme) ended today so what will be the theme tomorrow? Can you match her link words? Are you psychically in tune with the 'Ice Queen'?


The game is introduced (in Quizzes and Puzzles) at 08:45 on Saturday morning with the actual link words being posted at 9am to challenge you to guess the matches. I wonder what theme she will pick tomorrow? And even if you can guess the theme,, will it have any bearing on her chosen linkwords?
Everyone is welcome to join in. New to this? Why not give it a go? It is not difficult and the results are announced at 7pm on Sunday.

All you have to do is choose real words that can be combined with the 4 declared words to make either a longer word or a common combination. Tou are restricted to words of 4 to 8 letters long (to make the game easier).

As usual, I ask that you should also look out for the version of this same game based on the Daily Telegrapg GK Crosswords, which is called KM Links and kicks off at 7 am. Consequently, the timing of your posting is deemed to be irrelevant ~ only the number of hits you are able to register. The regular organiser of KM Links is Seekeerz, from all the way over there in Oz.

However, as I always say ~ “Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?” You have nothing to lose. Both games remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards to trace progress through each monthly contest.

Hi alba.
One of them had to be transferred to another hospital with feeding problems, but is okay now. They are just waiting for a bed to come free again now so they can be reunited. It has been a strain for my sister going between the two. I have been like a taxi!
They are gaining weight and progressing slowly but in the right direction...thanks for asking. :-)

Pauline, glad to hear that some progress is being made with the babes. I'd been wondering, but didn't like to ask. I can't imagine how your sister must be feeling, but at least she has lots of family support from you.
