I have read Gness's post on her trip out today and tutted to myself.
I then had a recap on my day.
All was going well until this afternoon when I received a frantic call from a friend who has a shop in town. She needed to go to the local Minor Injuries unit fairly quickly and asked me to hold the fort in the shop.
In the space of a mere 30 minutes I managed to:
1.Overcharge somebody £20 (in my defence I didn't have my specs with me)
2.Sell something for the wrong price as I was looking at the price label upside down
3. Carefully wrapped a fragile wooden yacht in tissue paper, placed it delicately in a large carrier bag gently handed it to the customer and then when I held my hand out to receive her payment I knocked the bag and snapped a mast
4. Stab a customer in the hand with a pair of scissors
5. Messed up the till - I couldn't get it to work
6. Tore a £10 note in half as I was getting it out of the till
7. Knocked over a full jar of coffee in the store room.

What is amazing is that she wants me back again later this week

Psybs, the truth is often stranger than fiction - I have got a new bike

Tony, no she doesn't, but funnily enough she has been in the shop
If you had worn your Marigolds none of this would have happened.
Whadda you mean taller...oh yes..there is photographic evidence...bums!

MrsO...have you ever considered that the good lord has a plan for us...we are being tested....if we can deal with all that is thrown at us with humour and fortitude we will have our reward in the afterlife?
Or..... we could just be plain, bloody clumsy.... :-(

Ah, so there we have it, she has hexed the shop !.
Apply to co-op, Mrs o. Is fairly mandatory behaviour there :-)
I hope she has insurance ...... (runs for cover..)
I have been in the shop...with MrsO...to meet the owner and view the decapitated seagull...the shop owner was sweating, shaking and clinging to the counter...MrsO made me stand very still.

Have you really got a new bike?...I am looking at e-bikes...x
I am speechless, I hope you both have purchased helmets, shin guards, insurance etc.
Was this in Castleford per chance - reference a Nation of Shopkeepers:

Tips from Foursquare as to Castleford:

Tip #1: From 4th - 22nd November 2013, this will be the Festival Hub during the Leeds International Film Festival...come in, chill out and discuss the latest film you've seen...

Tip #2: Managed by people with experience at such Leeds luminaries as The Adelphi and The Faversham, go for live entertainment, top notch food and a wide range of real ales.

Tip #3: A unique venue with WiFi, live music, food and alcohol, particularly Guinness There's plenty to inspire and release creativity here...

Tip #4: Some great free gigs here on Wednesdays or a free trip to Whitby to the Fish Market.

Tip #5: Order a pint of Früli. You'll never want to buy cheap beer again.

Tip #6: Sunday. Dinner. Immense Expense as it involves Whitby Mackerel and Chips.

Tip #7: I like it here 10/10

Tip #8: Ask for a regular's card, all stamped 'gness was here'

Tip #9: THE MARIGOLD BURGERS. EAT THEM.

Tip #10: Avoid the Castleford temporary shopkeepers, the risk of injury, breakage or finding your wallet fleeced!
Oi! Goatboy! I haven't hexed anything since the incident with the wax effigy and the first MrG's bits!

Clumsy? Well I for one am NOT clumsy. It is just that me and inanimate objects don't get on too well
They jump out at you don't they, MrsO?
Psyb...we are in training for next year's Tour de NI....;-)
What about the wax effigies and the pins ?.
DTc hate to say this but Leeds and Castleford are miles apart and are sworn enemies in Rugby League. Although I believe trips to Whitby can be arranged from either venue.

I think I once went to Castleford. Thankfully it was shut.

Gness Mr O has bought me a bike. I have a gentle bimble out most days.
What's a bimble, please
