After 18 months on the market we have at last had an offer on our house.

Now I know it's not sold till it's sold, but at least Mrs BT and I can now start looking for somewhere else. In fact, several already seen from the outside, 4 inside, with another 8 booked to see this week.

Stressful and exciting time ahead!

Morning, BT...a silly bit of advice maybe but.......keep a little diary of places you look at....

When I was house hunting for two almost two years I took a friend with me and we had more than a few hilarious experiences....some of the places the agents thought a woman on her own would "love" were beyond belief.
We still have chuckles over the lady who wouldn't let us in because we'd walked down the wrong front path.....and the attic room, accessed by a ladder in the airing cupboard which I got up but couldn't get down again.
I won't mention the naked man eating the Chinese takeaway and what he was viewing!...

Enjoy, BT....stressful at times but it can be such fun....in fact I may just phone the estate ag.......or maybe not.....☺☺☺

Thanks for your advice gness, a good idea to keep a diary of places visited, will do, before I forget which ones we've already crossed off.
sorry BT to pinch your thread and congrats hope all goes well with the sale but cant resist to ask Gness to elaborate on the story of the naked man eating a Chinese takeaway.
gness and the naked man story reminds me of what happened to a woman I used to know.
She played golf and was with a bunch of her pals. One woman took them all to her house for lunch. When they went in her husband was sitting with headphones on (so didnt hear them come in) and watching a blue movie. I think he was also not wearing much!
The estate agent told me the house was empty but he would take me to view.....he opened the door....we walked in to an almost naked man in the sitting room....eating a takeaway and enjoying a movie that Grass's friend's husband had probably seen.....☺
love it gness, could only happen to you !! thanks x dee x
