I have a HP C5280 all-in-one printer which has never given me any problems in the two years that I've had it. Today I printed off a document as usual with no problem.
Immediately after that I went to print another page and got a horrendous noise - like a machine gun!
The display told me to clear a carriage jam. There is no paper jam or carriage jam.
I have followed every suggestion from the HP website and nothing works.
Is it time to give up and replace it or can someone make a suggestion as to how to solve the problem? Any advice would be much appreciated as I have wasted all afternoon and have run out of options.
Thanks for your help Buenchico. I have used that link. Now the printer won't even close down so I've unplugged it. I might have to invest in a new one at this rate.
Just a shot in the dark as I don't know this printer, but have you tried taking the cartridges out and checking them to see if one is damaged and is catching the inner parts of the printer when moving???
