/// When someone brought a watermelon to work, he thought that was racist ///

/// 'We would say stuff like, "The reporter's out in the field." And he would look at us and say, "What are you saying, cotton fields? That's racist".' ///

/// 'We'd be like, "What?' We all know what that means, but he took it as cotton fields, and therefore we're all racists.' ///

Unless someone definitely breaks UK laws on racism and regarding this site, the existing AB rules on such matters, should anyone falsely accusing another of being a racist be suspended?

I think I know where AOG is coming from. I try to treat everyone regardless of race or colour as I would like to be treated, BUT the problem it would appear could be cultural rather than racist. The first house my late wife & I bought was at the time of the immigration of West Indian folks & the part of Birmingham we lived in was one of the first places where the...

This could get very interesting....

I'll come back to you on this one!
How to take an incredibly tragic story and use it to make a cheap political point 101, by AOG.
Conversely, should someone be suspended (banned?) when the overwhelming evidence that they are racist is there for all,to,see but they are not courageous enough to just come out and say exactly what they mean?
//The complaints are outlined in court papers seen by Daily Mail Online that include a scathing performance review carried out prior to his termination in Feb 2013.

The station filed the documents to rebutt a wrongful termination claim which he had brought, claiming he was the victim of discrimination because he was black and gay. The station won the case.

Flanagan earned a dismal 1 out of 5 score in several categories for his poor communication skills and a failure to show respect to colleagues.//

It certainly has been argued that relaxed firearms laws were the cause of this tragedy but I would suggest those who push the race/gender issues are responsible for this case as well.
Obviously a man with mental health issues who performed badly at his job.
Black and Gay ticks the correct boxes though to ensure parity in the employment stakes so he is given the job he is unsuited for.
Guns do not kill. It's the fruitcases who are allowed them who kill.
Well done the PC brigade. You are just as responsible for these deaths.
Was somebody opining on another thread that this was nothing to do with Race but everything to do with firearms ?????

Or what some would wish them to mean.
A logical argument from AOG is a bit like being thrown from one side of the motorway to another....

erm what did AOG say ? The problem with harassment is that the effect is subjective - it is how the victim feels.

so what happens when the victim is well you know ... crazy ?
Roanoke does

and to answer his question - I think everyone recognises that the murders in Roanoke have nothing to do with suspensions on a UK based site Answerbank
'it is a fact, that I wouldn't want a black family moving in next door to me. '

I'm not actually sure you know what racism is.
Yeah I get it !

suspend AOG and all his minions to prevent ..... a double murder on camera on Answerbank !

[blimey well it would certainly work to get people to log onto this site ! ]
Go do it- Ed !

[ PS a supplementary question - are we having an especially mad week end this week end ? it is after all a bank holiday ]

Exactly retrocop, and most of us know how that thread turned out.
The two people were murdered because the killer was insane...lets not make mountains out of molehills here. The DM does it on a regular basis, but that is no reason why we should follow suit.

Tell me AOG...do you have some kind of wonderful new search engine, for when you scan the DM website ? Can it automatically detect the magic words like black, Muslim, Racist, etc ?
There's a search facility Mikey. But you don't have to look too deep with the DM.

AOG's views on black people, seem to have worsened since 2013 when he proclaimed that he wouldn't mind what colour people lived next door to him, as long as they didn't play loud rap music:
http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/News/Question1243141.html

I wonder what made him crystallise his views?
Actually, Zacs, I'm not sure I would like pop music of any kind, disturbing me from next door either !

I did have a neighbour, about 10 years ago, that liked that awful drum and bass stuff, that even when played at normal volumes, penetrated the my walls with impunity. Its just sounded like someone hammering all the time !

We came to an amicable arrangement, after I had a quiet word, and she only played it when my car wasn't in the drive. In turn, I agreed to only play my Wagner when her car wasn't in her drive !

Its amazing what can be achieved by a quiet word !

/// 'it is a fact, that I wouldn't want a black family moving in next door to me. ' ///

/// I'm not actually sure you know what racism is. ///

And I am not sure you do.

Not wanting a black family, or a Muslim family or anyone else that have been known to carry a certain track record due to their culture, is not being racist, (Muslim isn't a race anyway)

All this is simply just a personal preference, and in no way racist, now if I put up a notice stating 'no blacks here' then that would be racist

I would have no objection to a Chinese family, a Buddhist family or even any other Asian family, hope that's took care of the skin colour issue and also the religious issue?

There are also some white people I would not wish to live next door to me either, in fact a fellow ABer said that they wouldn't wish to live next door to me also, so if that person happen to be of a different race to me does that also automatically make that person racist as well?
Well, that proves it.
Answer me this AOG; by your own 'logic' why did you mention 'black' at all then? Why didn't you just say 'I wouldn't want someone moving in next door to me who plays loud rap music' ?

Come on, this is your own argument being used against you so please give is the reason you said 'black'.
AOG...well, thanks for making that crystal clear ! ( ? )
If I said I did not want person as a neighbour because of reasons particular to that person and that person were a different colour, that is not racist. If I applied those reasons to all or the vast majority of folk with the same colour, that would be racist.

No you don't get it at all, it is not I or my minions who are imagining racism in their twisted up minds (as this killer did) no it is those who wish to stifle any views that don't fit their own liberal leftism agenda also such as those who are continuously offended on behalf of others.
It seems the best form of defence is attack. Why not discuss the topic in the OP instead of ganging up on AOG,,,,again.
