Pleased to hear that the thaw has arrived in some parts of the country. My question is, when will it stop snowing here in Dundee? Has been tipping it down for the past 4 hours, probably adding another inch to what's already here. Not often I wish for rain, but this is one of these days.

Still snawin' here in Auchenshoogle, Maggie
It's like the tide going out in my back garden, maggie, more green showing by the minute, won't be long. :-)
You'll have to ask Ms Sturgeon, Maggie. She controls the weather, you know.
according to 'them in the know' we're due a clatter o' watter overnight, if it washes away the muck and doesn't freeze, that'd be nice.
All disappeared overnight here Maggie, thankfully and quite mild in comparison to what it has been. We were supposed to be going to see The Darkest Hour at our local theatre this afternoon but they just called to cancel - burst pipe. Hope you get some respite soon x
According to Aunty Beeb, you've got sleet through to breakfast time on Wednesday, with intermittent periods of rain until then:

I've got the windows wide open here in Suffolk!

Milk and bread?

To Dundee?

Surely a nice bottle of a decent single malt and a few haggis (haggises? haggi?) would be better, wouldn't it?

;-)

It’s been snow and sleet most of the day here in perth but it’s thawing out quick, it’s not as cold out as it looks, roads are pretty wet tho
still got about 6 inch of snow in garden at the back
Its not the haggis season!!!

Agreed, Spath. What's more, it freezes well too. However it really needs a wee dram (either in it or served alongside it) to bring out the best in it.

If Dundee gets cut off they can't rely on the only distillery in the city to provide any whisky because it doesn't produce any :(

Fresh Haggis is always the best and don't start me on the vegetarian nonsense.....
I'm in Perth city centre and it is raining. I am going out so it better not be cold.
If your looking for haggis, I’ve a puckle that fell of the back of a mountain

Agree Alba, vegetarian haggis is devil food! Alas we no longer have a whisky distillery in Dunde, but a 15 min drive will take me to one!
It might be worth giving the Dundee-distilled gin a try though, Maggie ;-)
