Looking For An Old Friend.
12 Answers
Hi,
My name is Sylvia McMahon (nee Kerr)
I'm trying to find a school friend maiden name Catherine McNaught.
She married Edward Murray. They both attended St Augustine's Secondary in Milton, Glasgow.
She lived at Tresta Road, Cadder, Glasgow as a child.
Her mother was called Hannah, father David, sisters Anne, Martha, Hannah.
Catherine's husband was called Edward who had brother Gabby (Gabriel). Edward was an engineer. They spent some time living in Nepal.
Catherine and Edward have four sons David, Lewis, Rudy, and ???.
Catherine's sister Anne lived in Livingston.
Martha was a chiropodist who sadly lost her husband. She went to Uni and then became a solicitor.
Hannah was a nurse who I think married a doctor.
I believe Catherine may haves lived in Garrowhill for a short time.
Our school friends were Maureen Ryan, Anne Geggan, Margaret O'Niel, Rose O'Donnel.
Catherine Docherty, Catherine Coyle, and Kathleen Shaw all lived in Cadder.
I would be so grateful for any information that would help me trace my friend. I think she turns 70 in 2019 and it would be wonderful to catch up on our lives.
Any help in passing on this information would be very much appreciated.
Looking forward to any information you might have.

I am not saying that you will be successful but if you could contact one of them ,they might be able to tell you about your friend.
Another thought ---some of the names sound like Catholic ones. Parish priests in some of the areas you mentioned might be helpful. Good luck !

Hi, I've looked extensively through ancestry and there is nothing useful there , then it dawned on me that I need to be looking in Scotland's People instead, I've done a quick dearch and there are results but I can't see them as I don#t have an account, but there are births marriages and deaths for Catherine McNaught / Murray so I think you'll be able t find what you need there in terms on at least some information. their website is here:-
