Is It All Worth It.

The Christmas day not to far away, and you can already see tempers fraying on the roads, foot to the floor, jumping red lights, horns blasting away in temper, everyone racing to get from A to B and couldn't careless if they run you over as long as THEY get to the shops, or wherever. I'm wondering where and when the big car pile up is going to happen, M5/M6/M25 it normally does about this time. And what's it all for ? just to wake up on the 25th to open some pretty paper and find a pair of socks, slippers, jumper or a candle. Is it worth the rush? :0)

Lol Teacake As an ex traffic cop I can assure you the driving behaviour you described doesn’t just wait for the build up to Christmas. It’s 24/7/365

Well, I've bought some family presents and am about to start on the 'abroad' cards, but I don't understand all this seeming hysteria. I now know I shall have family on Boxing Day and have begun planning a buffet menu. Mainly I'm busy with choral events; singing tomorrow in our church for a Rotary Club Christmas concert and then have several other events. I've been strewing greenery around the church and shall dig out home decorations next week sometime - or later and get on with making wreath for outside etc... My younger sprog has her 40th birthday on 14th Dec. so that is rather taking priority.
I quite enjoy the build-up - but why do some people seem to be getting hysterical about Our Lord's Birthday celebrations? It must be something to do with marketing. Note to self, buy mincemeat to make mince pies by 20th.
