'British taxpayers are funding arts, infrastructure and tech projects in regions wealthier than parts of the UK, a damning new study has revealed.

As part of the Government's overseas aid budget, diverted through universities and 'Quangos', Britons are shelling out for projects like an all-female traditional opera in Shanghai, a rural crafts exhibition in Shenzhen in southern China, and a temporary cycle lane in Mexico City.',

Don't forget the £2.3bn we give to a contry with a space program. Then there is the £11.6 bn for various countries for "climate change" initiatives. Yep Labour's in!

Has anyone noticed how litle we hear from Nicebloke, gromit, 10cs, untitled et al these days?

Fine examples of 'soft power'.

Though, to use an old Belfast saying, you'd need to be soft in the head to believe this would enhance our standing.

I remember in the months leading up to the General Election there were many of us warning the consequences of a Labour Government.  We were ridiculed by those who thought a Labour Government would bring about some sort of Utopia.  I notice that they are not on these pages defending what Starmer and Co. have achieved so far, and how their actions are gradually destroying this country.

"Some UK Government funding is flowing towards Ordos City, also in China - a city richer than 69 regions of the UK"

What are these, "regions" that there are at least sixty-nine of them in the UK?

The Torn-apart Tories, upset at their overwhelming rejection by the country, resort to bitterness at the loss of the Politics of Greed.

What was it the Brexiteers used to say to the Remoaners, "You lost, suck it up", or words to that effect.

yes we lost canary and I accept that but that does not mean we have to agree with the systematic dismantling of our country. Surprised you are not savvy enough to see what is going on.

This is not about winning or losing.  Just weeks into this government's tenure previous predictions are clearly proving to be accurate and warnings justified.   What they are doing should set alarm bells ringing regardless of political persuasion because Labour voters are no more immune from the disaster they will wreak than anyone else.   It's frightening.

Perhaps they have lives?

sp: "Perhaps they have lives?" - recently acquired no doubt! They are at least sensible lefties, I dont often agree with them but I do have some respect, they at least debate and back up their assertions unlike the obvious two. I think they have seen what has happened and is going to happen and are a little embarassed about it, hence the recent bashfulness.

In reply to the leader of Ab's opposition Party. I Think the reason most Labour Supporters on here don't bother posting so much now ..myself included. Is because we have got what we wanted .The annihilation of the Tory Gravy train and crony club for at least a decade..

Keir will be gone in 6 months and this will be the last term Labour will have for 20 years

I tend to agree, webbo.

Who would want the Tory party torn to shreds?

Democracy works best when there are strong parties in parliament.

Some may say they're both wings of the same aeroplane, but that's something for another time.

The Tories now need to lick their wounds and start rebuilding so that they can offer a strong alternative in 10 years or so.

Did the Tories not give Foreign Aid or has it just started since Labour got in?

^That's optimistic.  I'd be very surprised if this lot get another chance in five years time.

^that to sandyRoe.

Anyone care to answer my question at 13.43?

To be replaced with a Labour Gravy train and crony club.  The latest the appointment of Jess Sargeant.  We read about these 'crony' appointments on an almost daily basis.

Wow I don't really venture into polotics but wow, your telling me it's Labour that have introduced all the above in the past six weeks.

Wow! busier than I thought, I thought they were still mopping up the Tory mess we're all in.
