This is a huge problem for both anglican and catholic churches. It amazes me how anyone follows religion anyway but one that is basically a paedophile club is doubly baffling.

If it is pertinent - I resigned from the PCC over Welby's decision to close the churches.  I'm back serving on the PCC, and as organist, on the understanding that I am critical of the 'high-ups' and hide-bound rules. I may getinto trouble again here - but they need an organist!

I believe that he should resign.   I believe him when he says that he did not know about John Smythe until 2013 - but after that, he was wrong in his actions i.m.o..  I can understand that Welby thought that Smythe's claws had been trimmed, but was he exiled with strong warnings sent around?  It seems not.

Having wasted a day of my life attending a mandatory day of training by the CofE regarding recognising and reporting  any form of abuse...........I feel like fallingasleep.  So much paperwork. 

Now they are planning one on recognising Domestic abuse!!!!!!  I could write the flipping course.

Seriously - I think Welby needs  to resign.  York is a bit of a nouveau buffoon so far.

Oh well, I've said what I think. It doesn't affect that I shall continue to practice  the organ and take part in village services.

Ultra conservative Muslims want to do this in broad daylight whereas Christian paedophiles just hope their mates will keep it hushed up.
