The demand that the truth be disguised is simply promulgating lies. So much for there freedom of the press. A disgraceful situation. This country is going down the drain in more ways than one.
10.29 - it is patently absurd isn't it.
A transgender woman may look like a man, not be in possession of ovaries, a uterus, have XY chromosomes and may still have a cock and balls, but because he has a certificate telling him he's a woman then he's a woman. It is bananas.
AB isn't immune to calling people out on pronouns. A few years ago I posted a thread about a man who was very clearly a man but was masquerading as a woman and I made the mistake of referring to him as he and him, and the AB Editor responded to me directly and said "She, Deskdiary, it's not that difficult". It was an abuse of their position to tell me how to think.
Deskdiary - I think we were in the grip of the 'Be kind' mindset, at that point, and it seemed a small grace to call a Transwoman "she". However, as the malevolence of the movement has gathered pace and be shown up for what it actually is, very few people are willing to jettison their principles (and common-sense) and refer to someone using pronouns completely unsuitable to their actual sex.
