I am an Austrian and couldn't manage to find out the meaning of this phrase. I looked up several dictionaries, encyclopedias and search engines - in vain. Please help me!

It comes from a children's rhyme see http://www.enchantedlearning.com/rhymes/Tisket.sht

but I don't thing it actually means anything .. I think it is just done for the sound it makes and to make a rhyme with basket.
Wendy, I wonder whether you could tell me here whether there was an answer from me on the page when you arrived. There was no prior response there at all when I posted mine - which, incidentally, said virtually exactly what yours says. I didn't provide a link, but I did offer an illustration of similar nonsense rhyme-words. There was nothing deliberately offensive in my answer at all, but it has now been simply 'disappeared'!

Please understand that I am not accusing you of duplicating my answer...I just want to know that it was deliberately removed.

If you see this query Moderator/Administrator perhaps you can give me some indication of what happened and why.

Forget it, Wendy! I've just worked out what happened...the question was entered twice and I hadn't even noticed. Old age creeping up, I guess. Sorry to have troubled you.
My apologies to you, too, Moderator. I wondered whether the opening three letters of one of my rhyme-words might have been on the proscribed list. I did once discover that you would not allow one to write the word that explains what cooks do with pancakes or referees do with coins before a match, that's all!
