Where does the word 'coffee' come from?

Where does the word 'coffee' come from? What are the origins of the word and what does it mean? Thanks!

Arabic word 'kahweh' or 'kaveh'- meaning invigorating or strength.

Mystery is how coffee was discoverd but favourite one is a goatherd saw his goats leaping about after eating coffee beans and tried them himself - and disovered coffee. Not sure I believe that one, but it is the most often quoted origin.

And useless fact - Tia Maria liqueur is flavoured by the white skin that covers the coffee bean, not the bean itself.

Also, the latin name for the coffee tree is coffea arabica....might have some bearing on the name.
