What does complimented mean in the following? This gift can be nicely complimented with a wine carrier.

It should have been spelt 'complemented'. That means 'made complete', whereas 'complimented' means 'spoken of admiringly'...not at all the same thing!
... or in other words, it means that the gift (a bottle of wine, perhaps?) and wine carrier would go well together, that one would set the other off nicely.
Perhaps this will help my critics realise that spelling actually does matter.
