What is this song - 'Hey baby, did you ever . . .'

Heard a song on the radio over the weekend, but I didn't hear the song title or who it was. Basically it has a lyric something like 'Hey baby, did you ever . . .' something something. Its kind of a soft rock ballad, the vocals were male, and I think American, and the lyrics in general seemed kind of space themed ? I think its quite recent but have no idea who it is. Does anyone have any ideas what song it could be ? Ta!
