can ayone explain the meaning of this "french" word PIGALLE, i have a friend in sweden who's e-mail address contains this word twice. thanks chris

It's a mixure of theatres ,artists,the Moulin Rouge,restaurants and ladies of the night but is now becoming upmarket and property in that area is very expensive .Very chic and villagey place to live.
It's also the name of a restaurant come forties style caberet club in Londons Picadilly.
