I have been to many family funerals and after the sad bit has been done, I have enjoyed the wake because of being with my relatives, which does not happen very often.

I have dicided to have a pre-death funeral for myself in the near future, because otherwise I will miss the wake

Does anyone out there know how to arrange this, as I haven't a clue. ---- All ideas considered, thanks.

Why not just arrange a family get together? Choose a day over a weekend to give everyone as much warning as possible to keep that date free then have a party. In the summer you could have it in the garden, or all arrange to meet at a pub. Mr Spudqueens family have been having an annual family get together for years now. If there is a wedding that is counted as it! Otherwise we've either gone to someones house or gone to a pub which has a carvery. Not everyone can make it every year, but as many as possible turn up, and if someone can't make it one year they usually make it to the next one. Good luck!

Thank's Spudqueen, but the idea is to be different like George Burns the old American comedian who had his 100th birthday party when aged about 90, - he didn't want to miss it!
Bit of a challenge Eh.
Who was it who said 'reports of my death have been a little premature' - maybe you could make a similar announcement stating the date and venue of your wake?!! Do mention though that you will be attending yourself!

Thank's Spudqueen, that's a good idea. What sort of ceremony do you think we could have before the wake?
