Oh, dear! The link I offered above didn't work fully. Never mind...when you click on it and get to the link-page, click on 'English to Welsh' and then type off side (with a space between the two words) and click to find the same answer I got. Sorry about the problem.

That was the point I was making QM. I was sure there was Welsh words for off and side but I could find no translation for the whole thing itself.

Fair enough, S. I just thought it was worth offering what I had been able to establish, even if only for a laugh. (I imagined I'd made that plain by referring to: "someone who actually knows the answer"...ie implying "I don't".) If the questioner had asked what the French say in bars where we would say: "It's my shout", I'd probably have said: "C'est mon cri", despite knowing that no Frenchman has ever said that in the history of the language! I offered something, in other words.

There must, I imagine, actually be someone on the website who knows enough Welsh to give the definitive answer. Until then, I'm sticking with 'oddierchwyn'! Cheers

I'm not sure of the spelling but I think it is cam seddwch listen to Sgorio on S4C on a monday night and you can hear commentry from the San Siro and other great venues round Europe (recorded by a bloke in Bangor)
