As has already been pointed out, the so-called riddle is virtually never asked properly. Even if it were - if you click http://members.aol.com/gulfhigh2/words1.html - you'll find there are several words, albeit obscure ones, that end in 'gry', so the riddle is a nonsense, anyway! When you get to the link web-page, scroll down to the paragraph headed 'Anhungry' for over a dozen 'correct' answers.
