when i start my car after its been stud for a while there seems to be no acceleration and sometimes stalls, then it will sudenly shoot off, also i cant really do more than 40mph as my foot will be fully down on the accelerater.

sounds like the exhaust could be blocked try changing the back box

these 1.0ltr uinits are plagued by problems. vw 1.0ltr is the same.
