Ok ok, so i know we've moaned about new sections -- but "Family"? What is that? and who asked for it? Am starting a thread as this concerns me (and bernardo apparently) - where willthis stop - are we going to end up with sections spiralling out of control - and a mega list down the side that won't even fit on my screen? I wonder if we could vote on the idea of new section ie a science one and see what the majority says - any views?

Well I kind of drift in and drift out for months at a time (and keep changing my name because i forget the sign in) and I have to agree I was a little surprised to see the Family section although i give a big thumbs up to the money one.

Yeah Igood idea becks. Actually I don't even remember anybody suggesting this section.

I'd love to see a science section, but I think there will be some confusion about whether to post in Internet & Technology or Science.
Some questions could easily apply to both science and technology.

Got to admit, relevant though it may be in todays society after all the good suggestions in this category Family would have been WAAAAAAAAY down the list! There are enough family orientated questions in Body and Soul which seem to be adequately answered.

I've seen quite a few family questions around but I have seen infinitely more hair questions. I'm not complaining, actually I like it. I guess they felt the need to balance money with family, which seems to be the big challenge in most of our lives: To spend all time and energy on work for money and then be spent by the time you get home? Or to spend more time and energy with family yet not be able to provide as many luxuries??

I am surprised to see that the first change to Answerbank (after the editors asked users to suggest improvements) is the introduction of a new category which, as far as I am aware, nobody asked for.

Sorry everyone but I have to own up and say that the the 'Family' category was my suggestion!! I actually suggested 'Mother + Baby' but maybe they thought that was a bit sexist and wanted to include Fathers! You obviously don't like it but I think it's perfect for this type of site as parents (and new parents especially!) need anwsers to lots of questions! I guess whatever they do at Answerbank you can't please all of the people all of the time, but there are three new sections in the space of a few weeks so it looks promising!
