I have to be a bridesmaid at my sisters wedding on saturday but I have a cold and cough and don't want to be coughing throughout the ceremony! I'm also pregnant so I don't know whats safe to take. I don't have time to go to the doctors again as I have things to sort out for sat. The cold is getting better but the cough has only started getting bad today. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get rid of one as quick as possible?

Go and see your local pharmacist, they should be able to help you, and enjoy the wedding on Saturday.
YES - Do as madsteve says - it is rather obvious!
Unfortunately, as you're pregnant, there is practically nothing you can take. The chemist will let you have a honey, lemon and glycerin mix but there's not much else. I'm also pregnant with a cough and I've found that holding my head over a bowl of steaming water helps (well actually I've been using a facial sauna but is the same thing!). Good luck :)
Being pregnant and ill is ******** as there is nothing you can take, as feeba has said. Hope you feel better in time emma.
Hi Emma hope your not feeling too bad hun. As others have said there probably isn't a lot you could take while being pregnant. Maybe drops of olbas oil would help you to breathe better I think you can use this. Have a fab day and enjoy being a bridesmaid before you have a big bump!!

thankyou :)
sometimes even cough syrup doesn't work, it usually has to run it's course.
Steam is good but i wouldn't recommend sticking your head over a bowl of hot water, not so close to your sisters wedding, as the steam will bring out all the impurities in your skin.

Try sweating it out of you, i'm sure you can think up a good way of doing that lol

Hope you have a great day on saturday.
Eat Oranges at least 3 per day
Drink warm lemonade (microwave for 90 seconds or boil also it needs to be made with lemons like sweppes) add a slice of lemon or lime to this and drink at least 3 per day.
I also use the kleenex anti-viral tissues which kill 99% of bacteria.
I can usually get rid of a cold in about 3 days.
