when i try that this is what i get :Vir cannot expiscor novus oceans nisi is has virtus perdo os of brevis. some words are left untranslated

Homo is better than vir. Vir refers to a particular man, homo relates more to a man in general.

Just spotted a mistake in my earlier translation. I am fairly confident it should be: Homo oceanos novos non deprehendere potest nisi fortitudinem audet e conspectu ammitere.

Tamborine - you are right, expiscor is a better word than deprehendere but the rest of the words have to be in it right cases so "new oceans" has to be accusative plural
