Which is grammatically correct...?

"What's the point in..."
/"What's the point of..."

I often hear, "What's the point in doing it now, we can do it later" for example.

Or, "What's the point of going abroad, when you can go camping".

Which is correct, please? Is there a grammatical rule for IN or OF?

The point OF this question is to find out the answer. What's the point IN asking if there's no answer?

As it is an idiomatic phrase, either is acceptable in my book.
