Raising money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer this Sunday 4th Sept 2011

On Sunday 4th September 2011 between 12.30pm and 3pm I am hoping to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. I can now no longer be cured as my breast cancer has returned and is now in my lymph nodes. There's going to be a Moyra's Folk Session at the Hardwicke Arms, 96 Ermine Street, Arrington, Royston, Hertfordshire, SG8 0AH Telephone [phone]. Come and enjoy listening to the folk music, or come and participate with your instruments or come and sing. There will be a bucket for you to make a donation if you wish to. :-) If you cannot come but would still like to donate, you may use my justgiving page

Hello! The raffle at the event raised £104 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer from the people who attended. It was a truly wonderful day for me. There were some brilliant musicians and two young sisters sang Flanders and Swann's The Gas Man Cometh... 'it all makes work for the working man to do' so brilliantly that the whole room applauded loudly. Thank you Ed for the sticky status of my posting. I now understand what that means. It was a tremendous help. Thank you to the Answerbank people who donated so generously too. Haven't added up the grand total, but it's very impressive. :-)

There was a wonderful gathering of people today. Musicians and some wonderful singers too. George and Jennie held a raffle and £104 was raised for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. We played some good tunes together which was such fun that I forgot all about everything else. What a tonic! :-) Thank you George and Jennie for organising it and thank you to Sheila for booking the tables for our splendid Sunday lunch! :-) Moyra "
