Church Bells.
24 Answers
Do any abers live next to or in the vicinity of a church that rings its bells before services. I am visiting my daughter at the moment and the church along the road from her starts ringings it's bells at some ungodly hour on a Sunday morning. And this eems to goon at various times during the day till evening service. Also on a Saturday if they have a wedding they ring the bells for about 45 min before the bride arrives. Should this be considered noise pollution.

Oh come on, for a start you should be grateful that you able to hear the bells, if you were profoundly deaf you wouldn't would you. I think people living next to schools and at the end of airport runways and the like, would put up with the bells quite easily compared to what they are used to. Be happy!
Yes, the village church is right next door. And the bell is rung before services, which include weddings, funerals and christenings on weekdays, as it has been for hundreds of years. What do you call an ungodly hour? First service here is about 8 a.m. I really can't see what you've got to complain about.
