Is it anything to do with the first letter of 12D?

I think I have the answer now.
And was it anything to do with the first letter of 12D?
Are we talking postcodes here ?
I think the actual cell number is part of it
the grid is filled but problem with BHA at 34d and any slight hints as to the 'cells' would be a massive relief after a torrid night
I have Wha (before Henry with). It's the postcode of the place of the event you need. The quotation is disputed.

It took me a while to get the two numbers in the code. My way of 'emptying' the cell was to black it in - which wasn't the cleverest idea.
Stuck on 15,could someone tell me which bit is the clue?

The definition is the last word in the clue.

I worked out the answer to 15A without really understanding the clue.
(Same with a couple of others)
15a Touch saint previously =S TAT
Smitten=EPRIS
assigned to=ON

I had ST for saint and ON for assigned to, but have never heard of the other two words.
What about 38A?

It was the 'to old men' that I couldn't work out, but I see now that just signifies archaic word.
