pretty sure letters are I_T_N_

For 14a the same letter pattern of I?T?N?has been given on 3 threads by different posters now so there is a good chance it is right.
The only words I can find that fit are intend, intent, intine, intone or intune, but none seems to fit the clue.
I think it was established the I is right. Can anyone confirm whether the T and N are right?

Handball seems a good answer except it doesn't come close to fitting
