Jill Or Gill For 57D ?

57d the female of the ferret (4)....google says 'Jill' is the answer to this, but the first letter of this word in this particular crossword seems to be 'G' - if 55a answer is moonlight, can Jill be spelled Gill as well does anyone know?

Having looked at the crossword now - Gill it is.
