Ive just been looking at recent posts and I think you are all amazing at crosswords. I haven't been able to do any of them. I gave up even trying crosswords when i couldn't get more than 1 oe 2 answers.

With time, practice and a good teacher you can usually get the hang of doing the cryptic ones. And yes, there are quite a few geniuses on this site!

It really is a very satisfying pastime, I would suggest initially getting the answers and working backwards to get an understanding of how the clues work, don't give up it is well worth the effort.

Keep at it. When I started doing the Telegraph I was lucky to get 4 answers. I did what UKSWF suggested and I steadily improved.
