As Richard Meldrew would say.

About two weeks ago a guy mid 20s came to fix my smoke alarm. Mine a bit different as it is for the deaf. If there is smoke etc alarm goes off and light flashes constantly. Anyway light was going off whether there was smoke or not, so I turned it off at the mains.

Going back to the guy - he came out (2weeks ago) looked at it "no I can't fix that, will have to send somebody else".

He has just arrived and left and said "was I here before - yes said I, "God, those at the office are always making botches".

I said - do you not remember my address - no, only when I was driving in.

This beggars belief.

No it doesn't
Depends how many houses a day he visits.
hey you x
I can believe that. He wouldn't have memorised your address or looked it up in an A-Z, just put the postcode and house number in his satnav and tapped 'go'.

I am truly lost for words as when I worked I would have been on top of that. Otherwise I would not have been in my job.
I'd have more of an issue with a smoke alarm not being fixed for 2 weeks

Prudie it is about 3 months, however that is my fault, I didn't report it as I knew the annual check up was soon.
You couldn't even remember that you'd told us two weeks ago in the second para! ;-)
That's disgraceful .
Didn't he remember the Royal Daulton , with hand painted perrywinkles - on the dining table ?
