lindapalmara - I entered the details as requested, here they are again - Andover Midweek Advertiser, Prize Crossword no. 775, clue is 4 down - A caterpillar. 6 letters, W - P - I -

boxtops, yes, as far as I know, all other clues have been answered and are correct.
The only one which could possibly be wrong is the one which gave me the P, which is POT, 3 leters, last one "N"

A Weevil is a Beetle, there's got to be a wrong letter, however the attitude given says I'm not looking for it.

wasn't aware that I had an atitude problem!
I have re-read all the clues, and as I said, they all seem to be correct, the only possible error is where the "P" is. The clue for that is: POT - 3 letters ending in N.
The only thing I can think of is URN, which would make the caterpillar:
W - U - I -

the clue that gave me the W is: Poultry - 4 letters which I made FOWL, as the "F" clue is: many trees (forest)
The "P" was what I have already told baldric in last posting, could possibly now be a "U", and the "I" clue was: "Aim high" which I made "aspire"

I just looked up Woubit, it means either a small and shabby person, or a type of hairy caterpillar, especially from the Tiger Moth
At last I can finish the crossword and post it into the Advertiser office tonight !
