Is it at all possible that probably the next leader of the Labour Party could in fact had forgotten meeting Dyab Abou Jahjah?
/// Mr Corbyn, 66, tonight finally admitted that he had met the Islamist radical. He said: 'My staff have researched this and it appears I did meet this man. ///
It would seem that he is not on his own though.
Tony Blair cuddled up to Gaddafi.

And Jack Straw shook the hand of President Mugabe, but to be fair Jack said "this was a mistake because Mugabe was sittng in a 'DARK' corner".
Lighten up Mr Mugabe.

He won't last 5 mins as leader.
The baggage he carries will overwhelm him
A lot of the other examples quoted are irrelevant. Building bridges to monstrous dictators is sometimes necessary. Hobnobbing with wannabe extremists for effect as people like Corbyn do is a different matter entirely

Bouncer - "See what's happening here is AOG is posting this thread now, to take your mind of the thread that was posted about IDS earlier , "
I have to post in defence of my esteemed colleague here - AOG posts regularly most days on the News section, and I have never known him to try and use 'distraction' tactics - anyone who knows him at all knows he simply doesn't operate that way.

It's your distraction tactics Aog, just confirming you've been using them for a while, I remembered that one because it involved me, as I'm just out of Hospital I really can't be a***d to trawl through your so similar posts to find more recent examples atm, but will do so later if required. I'm sure you know there'll be no problems finding them!

My goodness............... thank god the Tories would never ever associate themselves with such scum! //
Margaret Thatcher did with general Pinochet & look what kind of crim he turned out to be
Pinochet was arrested under an international arrest warrant on a visit to London on 10 October 1998 in connection with numerous human rights allegations. Following a legal battle he was released on grounds of ill-health, and returned to Chile in March 2000. In 2004, Chilean Judge Juan Guzmán Tapia ruled that Pinochet was medically fit to stand trial and placed him under house arrest.[6] By the time of his death on 10 December 2006, about 300 criminal charges were still pending against him in Chile for numerous human rights violations during his 17-year rule, and tax evasion and embezzlement during and after his rule;[14] he was accused of having corruptly amassed at least US$28 million.[15]

I am making strenuous efforts not to get embroiled in personal 'off-thread' exchanges with any other AB'ers - I know it is something I am guilty of, I get into a dog / bone interface with very little provocation!
So,, in the interests of good relations, can I ask you to join me in keeping on message, and letting the 'distraction' aspect slide?
Much appreciated!

//Baldric - "Ah, so you admit they are distraction tactics then AH, Thank you!"
I am not admitting anything!
But I am asking that we drop this now, because these exchanges go nowhere, and they clutter up the thread and take everyone off the OP - trust me, I have been involved in enough of them!!!!//
AH, I don't know who the hell you think you are, but as I don't feel up to researching an argument right now, we'll let your friend off the hook, for the time being!

I am an AB'er, just like you, just like AOG, just like everyone else.
I am trying to avoid you, or indeed me, getting into a pointless argument that takes up thread space, sends everyone giddy, and gets nowhere.
If you are not willing to met me half way for the good of the site, and everyone on it, then there is nothing I can do about that.
Perhaps you'll have a think about it - friends again?

I find it somewhat ironic that someone who goes in for as much Copy and Paste as you do can be concerned about something 'that takes up thread space'.

So sorry to hear that Baldric, I do hope it wasn't anything too serious, but just coming out of hospital I thought you might have more important and enjoyable things to do than crossing swords with me?

Thank you for that AOG.
I was actually crossing swords with AH following the

as that is simply untrue.

If you didn't do so much copy and paste which you accuse others of doing, your latest post would have been just this.
/// I find it somewhat ironic that someone who goes in for as much Copy and Paste as you do can be concerned about something 'that takes up thread space'. ///
Three lines, that's all.
Kettle calling etc etc.
