Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Has anybody managed to get this to work? Unable to fit words to grid, eg column O, could be deer/omen/logo for first three, but won't fit spacing. Is there a printing error?

Someone seems to have solved it but is not saying how, Mum and I also think there is an error in the grid, its too small

They seem to have changed the rules on "symmetry". It used to be top/bottom symmetric, and also left/right symmetric. But it seems to be just rotational symmetry now, so pairs of words don't have to be the same length this time.

The clue is in that dumb instruction: "The word Bunch must sit in the centre of the line to preserve the symmetry" and then it shows up in cols J-N. Just invalidates the whole thing.

I have solved it. There is s thread started on Saturday at 10.42 in quizzes and puzzles have a look there I have give quite a few of the answers

My tip would be not to put any blanks in initially.
Line 15 is flattery X bunchX
Line 7 is X smock X platinum
X being the blank squares
Column O is deerXomenXlogoXfriend
Column A is sickleXswagXriftXlaic
