Finding Out Exact Dates Of Past Employments

Hi ABers, I am currently trying to find out the exact dates of two of my previous employments within the NHS. I have the months and years of both, but don't have the exact day.

Using my NI number, is there a facility on one of the government websites that I can find out this information?

I have emailed the HR department of the two places concerned, but they are telling me that the later of the two is too far back in the past for them to be able to get this information and I suspect that the other organisation might have the same trouble with the other.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Cheers, Chox.

I never bother with exact dates- I just put Oct 1993- Mar 2001 for example

If the online form requires the exact date box to be filled in I just put either 1st or 15th.
Looking back at some old job apps I found quite a few typos eg date overlaps, - which weren't picked up by me or my eventual employer

Thanks, sounds a great idea. It's not a job application, it's to do with forms to be filled in for my retirement from this employment. Cheers, Chox.

I don't think anyone recalls that level of accuracy. Nor expects a form to need it.
Maybe try HMRC ?
