Please help!
I thought the perimeter quote was from a work by John Donne but can't find a "J" in the anagram of perimeter letters!!
( For those not doing this crossword, sorry but you need to see it to understand!!)
Can anyone enlighten me on ANYTHING about this?? I'm really struggling!
Apologies if this has been discussed before but I'm also having problems using the answer bank today!!! Ggrrrrr!
I got John Donne from the clue.....
68a Anonymous plaintiff in US conceals name and number 28. (4,5)
John Doe with n (name) and n ( number) I don't know what 28 has to do with it but 28a is Clergyman about to go into study(4) DEAN.
In this crossword we are not told what the quote is around the perimeter but are told the source, title, its first word and author are in the main part of the crossword. This is maybe too much for my brain anyway!
Oh!? Dean does tie in then! No info on first word of quote and an anagram of all the letters on the perimeter is given but J doesn't feature and as it is one of the perimeter letters it needs to!!!
I am so sorry guys but having re-read the instructions AGAIN, the anagram is of the UNCHECKED letters, so I don't think is an anagram of the quote.....Not enough letters having now counted them! 120 squares on the perimeter and 64 in the anagram! Ithink I'll have to give up on this, is so difficult to ask for help unless the person has the crossword, as it is very involved!
Think I'll crack open the stilton and port instead!
