It was posted as a response to the suggestion that adjectives couldn't be right and was therefore confirming the given pattern... although as V1 already had an S at the end it could be there is something else incorrect.
I think I'll join danny with an aspirin (not a bad pill in the circumstances)- or at least wait for teh dust to settle- or V1 to return
The anagram 'A' was the second one. The first 'A' came from 'Muscat hedged it's bets holds being denounced severely' (7). I had S---H-D so put scathed. That gave me the A for A---R-M- which led me to the answer 'anagrams'. The 'R' in my anagrams was from 'Jot down but not spelt correctly, correct' (5) for which I put 'right'.
