I'm confused!

If you're seeking a Pacific nation that fits '5,3,6' then Papua New Guinea seems the obvious candidate.

However if you're saying that there aren't 14 squares to fit the answer in I'm baffled!!!

That's what I think it should be, but only 10 spaces in grid. I've entered Papua new Gu to see if it would work, so far it's not submitted but I may have something wrong elsewhere

It looks as if there should be two white squares after the "Gu" then Guinea would fit in with the across words!!.
Cupid O04 - it will probably be ok in the printed edition. We will see in the morning.

It IS the grid that's wrong. It should be symmetrical. There should be two more white squares. Grr!!

I have a Kindle. Tried this morning and got messages "this competition is now closed" and also "congratulations you have completed the puzzle". I have now given up trying.
