I remember when she appeared on Election night, at her own count, and it was obvious that it hadn't had been one tiny little tear. Her face was badly swollen and she had so much make up on, that she looked as if she had been embalmed.

Throughout one's lives one has at times to make important decisions, the more responsibilities you have, the more important the decisions.You take the situation, take advice, assess the situation and then....make your decision.
Some decisions will be bad, some equivocal and some good, that is life, but not to make a decision, sitting on the fence, is not an option always.
Our Prime Minister, made a decision and it was a poor one.....life goes on, all political parties know it was an unfortunate decision, so I ask, "what is the point of the post other than to resurrect a well known Political bad decision?"

I think she made the right decision but sadly the campaign and manifesto were a disaster. What should have been an open goal was anything but. Not surprise she shed a tear she must have been gutted. Mrs Clinton had a hissy fit for a week!

Her downfall was that she made a thinly-veiled attack on pensioners by promising to means-test the WFA and remove the triple lock. Never a wise move.

Yes, must have been the worst campaign ever- a naive/bonkers manifesto (fox hunting? ending pensioner triple lock and means testing pensioner benefits, the dementia care costs issue ) and her clear discomfort in front of cameras, interviewers and the public (other than party faithful) while Corbyn was able to appear relaxed, caring, promising lots saying the rich/fat cats or growth will pay for it and appeared to offer hope.

more than that, ff, Corbyn looked honest - proposing things he clearly believed in. By making policy U-turns May looked as if she was just making things up as she went along (which may indeed have been the case).

The manifesto nonsense wasn't necessarily her fault personally, but as party leader she gets to carry the can; she could have vetoed them. Though in reality it was her advisers who took the bullets for her.
