I am not sure why the answer is MEDIANS though. Can anyone provide a link please as I read on a few sites that the medians are not 7 and 6 but 5 and 8 respectively

Yes, it is isn't it. I've posted on another thread about the suggestion of DEVIANT too. The same wordnet site gives one pair of values for deviants and another pair for deviant , but neither pair is 7 and 6
