YOu could be right, roslyn. Treated could mean add a letter.
I will see if any other solution is one letter short.
Of course, where to add the letter could be still a problem.
usually the down clues do reverse. So take a letter out?
If 28a is Spot (Why st for interference?) but it could mean entry is sport.
Then 25d could be anagram of TAP and Cie (Company in Wolfsburg?).
Making the answer epact. Which is somehow bring the two calendars together or moving to decrease?
I haven't got far with this, but I think the Down clues have a different treatment. I think there's a letter to be removed before solving - that works for 1 D and 2 D.
I see your point.
But my question was directly addressed to you since you said you have solved 1D and 2d.
If I were asking the other solvers, I would have included the clues.
Hankir, I know you were addressing me, but I was thinking of the helpful people on this site who often like seeing clues from other crosswords.
I've realised that 1 D might not work the way I thought it did. 2 D is straightforward -
Redo colour source - Cameron won over, climbing party (7). The 'o' at the end of 'redo' is superfluous.
That is OK, NAC.
I think 1d is a Jewish month made out from first word but don't quote me on it.
2d:Redo colour source, Cameron won over, climbing party (7)
O in Redo is redundant.
I have ?AM???? so far. I can think of a few sources for Red colour but nothing that fits. A is iffy.
I am not sure how to interpret Cameron. PM? David? Tory?
Any help?
I have Camwood for 2 D, it's the wood of a West African tree, used in making a red dye. I'm not sure of the parsing, but Cam is occasionally used for Cameron (his wife is sometimes known as Sam Cam).
Hankir, maybe it's just that people called Cameron (as a first name) get called Cam? I was so relieved to get an answer that I didn't give parsing much thought!
