One Darwin award candidate gets eaten whilst trespassing and they murder the lot. No wonder it's an uncivilized dump.

It's all part of the rich "diversity", 3Ts, which (so we are told) enriches our culture and makes our country a better place to live in. Good thing we've no wild crocodiles here!

I don't think mob mentality and diversity have anything in common.
It's not fair play, spath. It's idiotic and barbaric. These people behaved far worse that any wild animal because human beings should know better.
spathium - // Fair play //

If the wanton and senseless destruction of hundreds of protected animals fits your definition of 'fair play', then your definition is considerably different from mine.
From your link
//Officials and police said they were not able to stop the attack and may now press charges.

The killing of a protected species is a crime that carries a fine or imprisonment in Indonesia. //

Also where does it say the individual was trespassing? Or do you have insider knowledge?

This is a sanctuary, spath, not a farm. Furthermore, if you object to people farming crocodiles, why don't you object to people killing them needlessly?
spath - // Is it? I feel the same way about farming crocodiles, naomi.. //

In that case, you are merely comparing one scenario of perceived barbarity with another scene of actual barbarity.

I don't see how the action of the second is justified by the first - perhaps you can explain?

That comparison is laughable.

It stands up if a country murders all its corrupt politicians or bankers, but otherwise, it is meaningless.

// It was a collective decisions made after the tragic loss of life. Is that not a health and saftey hazard that a man can't pick veg without being mauled? /

It was not a 'collective decision', it was a mob rampage.

A man trespassing on the sanctuary breeding ground of large savage animals is not a 'health and safety hazard', it is trespassing on an area which I am willing to bet was fenced with warning signs.

One of two things is occuring here, either you are winding people up, or you genuinely don't grasp the flaws in your argument.

"The farm was operating on a licence to breed protected saltwater and New Guinea crocodiles both for preservation and to harvest some of the animals."

Consider them harvested, maybe earlier than planned but they'll just have to make clutch bags instead of over the shoulder numbers.
I expect they'll go the same way as wolves in Britain - uncivilised dump? Who can say.

Spath: “fair play maybe they don’t like living near a crocodile farm so took action” – what an idiotic comment, how is it possibly “fair play”? and it’s not a “farm” it’s a sanctuary for an endangered species.
Rockrose: “Also where does it say the individual was trespassing? Or do you have insider knowledge?” – no I just read the link, It’s a sanctuary for a protected species of Crocodile, the link says: “The local villager was killed on Friday morning while gathering vegetables on the crocodile farm's breeding sanctuary.” – so he was on the farm’s breeding sanctuary, QED trespassing.
Spath, my mistake. A breeding sanctuary on a farm … but how can it possibly be fair play to kill almost 300 innocent crocodiles in retribution for one killing someone who chose to venture into its compound? That’s crazy.
Yes but perhaps he was given permission - assumption - lets jump on it.
