I have the first name from misprints. What do the other words start with? G and G?
I have 9 misprints in Across and 6 in Down clues. So I am still looking for 9 more.

Hankir, glad you got there. I highlighted by using a red pen to circle the letters in the words. I shaded by using a pencil to fill in, lightly, the cells containing the letters of the linking word.

Jadzia, it's Hept - an old version of heaped. It's 'he' form 'they uncovered' (taking off the letters at each end) and'pt'. empty pot, taking out the middle letter. 'Pound' should have been Mound.
