Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I have an entry I can make, one using the beloved RA/painter, but I can't see what the original answer would be.

It looks as if you have made the same error at 25a that I initially made. The first word is the definition, the rest the wordplay. As far as 21d is concerned, the medication is one used on bruises, but not open wounds.

You'll need the names section in Chamber's for the entry at 21d, Nical -
?IA?AN is the right pattern.

Completed grid but I'm useless at word searching. Can't see the author or the anagrammed pseudonym. Help! What is the relevance of the puzzle's title?

They're anagrams and run across the full length of the grid symmetrically - very odd names!

No idea re the title - or its anagram (moths?).

As well as 'tortrices', there's another anagram of the title (TRISECTOR) but it's an Italian word -
SCORRETTI is the plural of 'scorretto' which means 'incorrect' (might that allude to the anagram theme?).
Pretty obscure if so.

I wondered if the title referred to the finished grid once the highlighting had been done?

Yes, that sounds possible, Nical (if the title had actually been TORTRICES I might have spotted that!).
