Chicken And Leek Pie

Bought one of these on Monday from M&S and do recall buying them years ago and I couldn't get over the beautiful chunks of chicken that was in them. This time however Couldn't believe that I got the scrapings of a chicken - maybe two scrapings. Has M&S gone to the wall.

scraped the scrapings out and ate that Rosie, also (I never buy them) but went for their crinkle cut chips, they ended up like crinkly wood. Into the bin they went.

How disappointing - and they're not cheap either.

I don't know how much both were as I never check receipts. Where would you go to get good quality food.

I've got a Waitrose near me and I shop online at Tesco . I also like Aldi but that's more difficult for me to get to.

Small, independent shops often give good value. Big stores sometimes lose sight of 'customer satisfaction' because money gets in the way.

think you are right Bookbinder - think Farm shops do better. But the two farms I know of are pretty far away.

I find that M and S's portions are measly. I can often eat what they say will serve 2.

We have no complaints about M&S food, and believe me we’re very particular.
I wouldn’t right off a whole store/company on the basis of one purchase which wasn’t to my liking.
No, I don’t think they’ve gone to the wall, I think it must be difficult to please everyone, all the time.
And I think some people are complainers...

I find on the odd occasion I buy a pie rather than make one I am often disappointed with the ratio of filling to pastry.

I always give feedback though,,that's the only way any retailer will improve.
