neighbour was in some days earlier and said she was making herself a fajita mix chicken etc - gluten free.
I have never had fajita but am fed up with cooking chicken the way I do so am thinking of the above - is it nice. thank you - I'm not gluten free tho - shall I buy the El Paso pouch
If you buy the kit you will get the salsa, the spices and the tortillas that you need, it is rather nice with sour cream and guacamole and of course grated cheese
Yes, but the supermarkets also do their own version which may be cheaper. You can freeze the leftover tortillas just wrap individually in cling film and take out an hour before you need them
Never mind buying the kit. Just season the chicken with some garlic powder, paprika, cumin, coriander and cayenne. You can adjust it to taste then. But if you do not have those spices (or do not use them regularly), buy the El Paso stuff since that will be cheaper in the long run.
I love those fajita mix things, El Paso or any other. Not had one for quite a while, going to add one to next weeks click and collect, yum, I love the messy finger licking way of eating them.
I agree with Helen about having sour cream with it, definitely enhances them.
I should have said El Paso fajita kit, which contains the tortilla wraps and the seasoning, all you add is chicken and some onions and red/yellow/green peppers fried up…I think, it’s been a while since we had one.
I always used to make mine from scratch...its been a long time though since I've had them.
This is the kit you'd be looking for...on the same shelf in the supermarket with the individual ingredients.
i love fajitas but my husband calls it "fall apart food" and complains every time we have them.#You can actually buy a small jar of fajita powder (schwarz) if you don't want all the other stuff
